The third oldest collegiate basketball program in the nation, Purdue basketball teams have been competing since 1897. The program ranks 15th in the NCAA history for most victories and has won 23 Big Ten regular-season championships, a conference record. Elliot Bloom, Director of Basketball Operations and Administration, will talk abut the program’s rich history, its impact on the Greater Lafayette and as well as an update on the current state of the program.

“An Exploration through Purdue Athletics” Tom Schott has been part of the Purdue Athletics scene for nearly 30 years, rising from a graduate intern to his current position of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications. He has worked with many great Boilermaker student- athletes, coaches and administrators and been witness to countless big games and milestones. He will provide a trip down memory lane, provide a state of the department and talk about how the athletics communications industry has changed since he came to West Lafayette in 1990. Cost is $5.00 per person.
