Sunday, August 22nd Members Event to thank volunteers 2 – 4, Fowler House
Saturday, August 28th Feast Sampler, 1-5 p.m. Historic Fort Ouiatenon, flag raising at 1:00 p.m. Get a preview of the 43rd Feast of the Hunters’ Moon at this year’s Feast Sampler. Annually the TCHA presents this “sneak peek” into the excitement of the Feast.

Sunday, September 12th Artifact Identification Session: Is it an Artifact or Just a Rock? sponsored by TCHA and co-sponsored by Purdue Department of Anthropology, at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum,200 Battle Ground Avenue, Battle Ground, IN, 1 – 4 p.m. The public is invited to bring artifacts they want identified and answer questions and discuss local and regional prehistory and history, archaeological methods and theory, and careers in archaeology. In conjunction with Indiana Archaeology Month. Free.
Sunday, September 19th Education Program: History and Archaeology of Ft. Ouiatenon presented by Del Bartlett, at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum,200 Battle Ground Avenue, Battle Ground, IN, 2-3 p.m. Joseph (Del) Bartlett, TCHA board governor, will discuss the Fort Ouiatenon site and archaeology investigations. In conjunction with Indiana Archaeology Month. Free.
Saturday, September 25th Festivus at the Fowler House, Join us for a lively evening of fun, food and both live and silent auctions. This event is being held to help raise funds to meet the match grant. Tickets at $75 per person. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. Details to follow.

October

Saturday & Sunday, October 2nd & 3rd Annual Feast of the Hunters’ Moon, located at Historic Fort Ouiatenon Park, West Lafayette, IN. Tickets are now on sale through the website for this year’s Feast. We have new vendors, performers (including the famed Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps,) and new foods along with your traditional favorites. Hours are Saturday, October 2, 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. and Sunday, October 3, 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free shuttle service from the Purdue Stadium parking lot will again be offered by local churches. Saturday, October 9th Beginning Blacksmith Class, all day, at Historic Fort Ouiatenon, registration required. Students will learn blacksmith basics form the Ouiatenon Blacksmiths. Students need sturdy work gloves, long sleeves shirt and pants, sturdy shoes, lunch and drinks. Contact info@tippecanoehistory.org

Sunday, November 7th Gearing Up – Plans for the Bi-Centennial of the Battle of Tippecanoe, 1 – 3 p.m., at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum,200 Battle Ground Avenue, Battle Ground, IN, commemoration ceremony at 1:00 then hear about the plan for activities during 2011 and the weekend of November 5 & 6, 2011.
Sunday, November 14th Second Local Authors’ Fair and Book Signing, 1 -5 p.m. in the Historic Fowler House, 909 south Street, Lafayette, IN. Buy your holiday gifts here from local authors who will be available to sign copies of their books.

December

Sunday, December 5th Yuletide on the Hill, 1 – 5 p.m. in the Historic Fowler House, 909 South Street. Come back to the Moses Fowler House for an afternoon of family fun. Old fashion toys and games will be on display and the house will be beautifully decorated for the holidays. The children can make ornaments, hear a story and learn how children in the 1800’s may have decorated their homes. There will be singing, laughing and light refreshments.
Saturday & Sunday, December 11th & 12th; 18th & 19th 1-5 pm. Open House at the Historic Fowler House, 909 South Street will be open to the public.
